Thank you for your interest in donating your boat to the Boy Scouts of America.
To begin the donation process, complete and return the attached BSA Boat Donation form. Or telephone to complete the form if you prefer. The information goes to the Sea Scouts Gift Boat Committee for a decision if the council will accept the donation. At that time we mail you paperwork. The donation can proceed after you fully complete your paperwork and return all requested items. Donated boats are routinely sold to fund the Sea Scout program. Only rarely do we retain them for use by the Sea Scouts.
For tax purposes: Cascade Pacific Council, Boy Scouts of America is a 501 (c) 3 organization. You will receive tax acknowledgement for these donations. Tax regulations have recently changed and may impact your deduction. Your deduction is generally limited to the amount the boat is sold for. Consult your tax professional for information about your specific tax situation.
